Chris Read is the Managing Partner of the firm and has extensive experience in structuring, negotiating and managing complex commercial transactions in a variety of industries including solid waste and recycling, commercial real estate, construction and development, lending and finance. Matters include mergers, asset acquisition and disposition transactions, stock acquisition and disposition transactions, strategic alliances, joint ventures and corporate formation and governance.

 

Chris has considerable experience representing investors, end users and developers in a wide array of real estate-related transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, construction and development. Chris is also counsel to lenders and borrowers in connection with secured and unsecured revolving and term loan credit facilities, real estate acquisition financing, construction loans, letters of credit and permanent financing.

 

Chris has acted as lead counsel in hundreds of commercial real estate transactions for properties valued between $5,000,000 and $50,000,000, including apartment buildings, shopping centers, office buildings, industrial sites, self-storage facilities, transfer stations and mixed-use properties on Long Island, in New York City, Westchester, Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland and Florida.

 

Moreover, Chris has represented numerous clients in the acquisition, disposition, leasing and/or and development of intermodal solid waste transfer and transload facilities, roll-off and hauling companies and has represented clients in the acquisition and development of rail and truck served transfer stations throughout Long Island, New York City, Upstate New York and Northern New Jersey.
