Chris Read is the Managing Partner of the firm and has extensive experience in structuring, negotiating and managing complex commercial transactions in a variety of industries including solid waste and recycling, commercial real estate, construction and development, lending, transportation, medical and telecommunications. Representation includes mergers, asset acquisition and disposition transactions, stock acquisition and disposition transactions, strategic alliances, joint ventures and corporate formation and governance.
Chris has considerable experience representing investors, end users and developers in a wide array of real estate-related transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, construction and development; and lenders and borrowers in connection with secured and unsecured revolving and term loan credit facilities, real estate acquisition financing, construction loans, letters of credit and permanent financing.
In recent years Chris has acted as lead counsel in more than 50 commercial real estate transactions for properties valued between $5,000,000 and $50,000,000, including apartment buildings, shopping centers, office buildings, industrial sites, self-storage facilities, transfer stations and mixed-use properties on Long Island, in New York City, Westchester, Connecticut and Northern New Jersey.
For the past several years, Mr. Read has been actively involved in the acquisition, disposition, leasing and/or and development of intermodal solid waste transfer and transload facilities, roll-off and hauling companies and has represented clients in the acquisition and development of rail and truck served transfer stations throughout Long Island, New York City, Upstate New York and Northern New Jersey.

Olga A. Pettigrew is Of Counsel to the firm and brings a varied background in complex consumer and commercial litigation, corporate legal departments, and regulatory agencies. Ms. Pettigrew’s substantial litigation experience includes contract disputes, business torts, Article 78 municipal challenges, ERISA fiduciary breach class actions, consumer class actions, wage and hour litigation, and shareholder derivative lawsuits. Ms. Pettigrew recently served as counsel for a Fortune 500 energy company in a $1 billion arbitration against a major consulting firm and software provider arising from a failed software implementation, which successfully resolved in a substantial recovery for her client. Ms. Pettigrew is also a certified mediator, helping clients involved in disputes to engage in open and constructive dialogue to negotiate towards their own mutually agreeable resolution. Ms. Pettigrew was recently chosen to the highly selective Mediator Incubator program sponsored by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, a mentorship program pairing attorneys with top mediators in the region.
In addition, Ms. Pettigrew represents clients in a variety of elder law and estate planning matters, including preparation of last wills and trusts, planning for end-of-life and long-term care with living wills, health care proxies and powers of attorney, as well as general estate administration.
Ms. Pettigrew was recognized as a New York Metro “Rising Star” in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019 by the Super Lawyers rating service.
